The Financial Mobility Summit (www.financial-mobility.com) today announced its slate of speakers for the inaugural FM Summit, to be held at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, NV, August 13-14, co-located with The Prepaid Press Expo (www.prepaidpressexpo.com), now in its sixth successful year.
The two-day FM Summit will explore the world of mobile payments convergence, where prepaid debit and gift cards, loyalty and marketing programs, alternative banking, gaming, top-up services and e-commerce meet on a mobile device.
Summit sessions will address the evolution of the mobile wallet, mobile bank accounts, mobile marketing, mobile commerce, and more. Retailers, merchant acquirers, wireless resellers, agents, distributors, prepaid providers and financial services companies will learn how mobile payments can transform their businesses.
The two-day Summit will kick off with a keynote address by David Nelsen, president of Giftango, an InComm company that has been instrumental in bringing digital gift card programs mobile. A visionary and entrepreneur, Nelsen’s first introduction to digital content was with secure streaming of multimedia back in the early days of digital music. He has filed 8 patents in fields ranging from music streaming to digital payments and stored value.
“Consumers have proven they are ready,” explains Nelsen. “Loyalty alongside mobile payment is a proven winner. Why are so many merchants behind the curve? It is time to address what works and put a plan together to solve it.”
The conference also includes speakers from a diverse group of companies with expertise and knowledge of prepaid, payments and mobile technologies. Hear from CashStar, CHARGE Anywhere, Clutch, Corduro, CorFire, Discover, Gyft, Heartland Payment Systems, ISIS, JunoWallet, LevelUp, MetroPCS, Mocapay, Sprint/Boost Mobile, Sutherland Global Services, VeriFone, Vesta, Wipit, and more. Industry analysts from Mercator Advisory Group and Yankee Group will also be presenting.
“We have carefully picked speakers from a diverse group of companies with unique and successful strategies in making mobile financial services and payments work,” said Rivka Little, Financial Mobility conference director. “You’ll hear how these cutting-edge mobile apps fit together to change the game for financial services providers and retailers alike.”
