BevMo!, the ultimate neighborhood specialty beverage retailer, announced today that Chief Marketing Officer Francesca Schuler was recognized as a winner of the first annual Marketers That Matter™ award (www.marketersthatmatter.com) in the category of Customer Engagement for a Large Company. Launched by The Sage Group and sponsored by The Wall Street Journal, Marketers That Matter recognizes the contributions of leading edge marketers throughout the Bay Area. Executives and industry leaders gathered to honor the finalists and announce winners at the MTM awards gala and winner reception on April 25.
The Marketers That Matter award recognizes exceptional marketers who are transforming consumer engagement by implementing creative and successful marketing strategies and tactics to create measurable results. Finalists included senior marketers from some of the Bay Area’s most well-known brands alongside marketers from fast-growing, up-and-coming companies that span a number of industries.
“There is a sweeping trend of truly innovative and high impact marketing germinating in the Bay Area,” said Cara France, Sage Group CEO. “The depth and breadth of what the winning marketers are doing is extraordinary and the value they bring to their companies is both measurable and impressive.”
The winning entry highlights how Schuler undertook the challenge of creating innovative marketing ideas for the brand while also entering a new market in Washington state. The entry showcases the holistic approach she and her team took in refreshing and reigniting BevMo!’s image, business and shopping experience. From articulating an updated brand positioning to refreshing the store design, Schuler implemented new marketing and public relations programs that brought the brand experience to life for customers.
