Rite Aid Wants You To Pay With American Express Points

Got American Express loyalty points? Rite Aid will be encouraging you to pay with them.

Rite Aid announced that American Express cardmembers who participate in the Membership Rewards program can now pay for Rite Aid purchases with previously accumulated points. Members will first swipe or tap their Amex and then be prompted regarding those points.

As the first pharmacy chain to offer this option, Rite Aid representatives say the reason behind all of this is that they want their customers to enjoy choices and convenience.

“Thanks to our partnership with American Express, in one quick and easy motion, our customers can use the points they’ve accrued through the Membership Rewards program for their purchases, saving them both money and time,” said Ken Martindale, CEO of Rite Aid stores and president of Rite Aid Corporation, in a release.

The purchase-with-points program can be used in conjunction with Rite Aid loyalty program wellness+ with Plenti.
