The CFPB commissioned its first survey to explore how people perceive some of the changes made by the Credit CARD Act.
When asked if credit card bills are now easier to read and understand, 60% of those surveyed responded yes. Another question addressed the affect of observing the yearly total amount of interest and fees on credit card bills. Thirty percent of those making under $25,000 said they are paying more than the minimum balance each month, as compared with 16% of those making over $75,000.
