Peter Kight, former CEO of CheckFree and current managing partner of the Comvest Group, says merchant-funded rewards are a key opportunity for banks to stay relevant in the mobile wallet race.

Kight says those merchant-funded rewards offer banks a revenue opportunity not yet touched by new regulations, which have been squeezing other revenue sources, American Banker notes.
