Google Wallet has sent users who have added gift or loyalty cards to their NFC phones a notice saying it plans to end support for the features in two weeks, NFC World reported on August 9.
“If you have a balance remaining and you’d like to spend it using the tap and pay functionality, you must do so by August 21st,” the email said, according to the media outlet.
The message noted that Google Wallet is exploring other gift and loyalty card options. Physical gift cards will continue to work after this date. For more on the developing story, click here.
