Visa Launches V.me In Australia, Adds EVP

A group of major Australian online retailers are taking part in the digital wallet launch, including Lorna Jane, Cotton On, Skiddoo, City Beach and Flight Centre, among others.

“With more customers going online, we’re helping retailers to simplify the online checkout experience and convert sales. V.me offers an easy and convenient way to pay online at any time you choose, on any device you choose, and with any major payment card brand,” Greg Storey, head of the V.me group for Asia Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa, said in a statement.

In addition, Visa announced that Ellen Richey will serve as executive vice president and chief legal officer. She previously worked for Washington Mutual and Providian Financial Corporation.
