China Mobile, Apple Finalize iPhone Deal

Apple Inc. and the Chinese government have finalized an agreement that will allow the company to sell iPhones through China Mobile, the Communist nation’s largest mobile telecom network, Reuters reported on December 23.

    According to Reuters, China Mobile currently has approximately 760 million customers. The first shipments of iPhones will be available for purchase on January 17. At this time, pricing information has not yet been released.

    In the third quarter, Apple iPhone sales in China rose 32 percent on an annual basis.
