Bitcoin Leaders Form “DATA” Regulatory Body

Bitcoin industry leaders have banded together to launch a new self-regulatory body, CoinDesk reported on July 30. Called the Committee for the Establishment of the Digital Asset Transfer Authority (DATA), the group will work with policymakers and regulators to develop standards for the emerging industry. 

Members include BitPay CEO Tony Gallipi, Ripple CEO Chris Larsen, Bitcoin Foundation general counsel Patrick Murck and TradeHill CEO Jered Kenna.
