Mobile payment solution provider PayAnywhere and Discover are partnering so that merchants in PayAnywhere’s network can accept the PayPal payment card, the company announced in a December 5 press release.
According to Marc Gardner, president and CEO of North American Bancard, PayAnywhere’s owner and operator, the move is meant to help businesses capitalize on consumers who are adopting the PayPal payment card.
“Now, by offering PayPal acceptance, we’re not just allowing merchants to accept payments whenever and wherever, we’re helping them grow their revenue opportunity through a whole new form of currency exchange right on their POS devices,” Gardner said. “Just as importantly, we’re making the mobile transactions process smoother than ever for both merchants and their customers.”
