FTC wins preliminary injunction for Rockford hospital merger

U.S. District Judge Frederick Kapala has granted the FTC’s request for a preliminary injunction to block OSF Healthcare System’s proposed acquisition of Rockford Health System. The FTC claim that the merger will diminish competition for hospital services in Rockford. The injunction will be in effect for the duration of the administrative trial.
