US: Former DGComp chief economist rejoins CRA

Kai-Uwe Kuhn, DG Competition’s former chief economist, has re-affiliated with Boston-based Charles River Associates, joining the firm as its senior consultant to the antitrust and competition economics practice.

    Kuhn is currently an associate professor of economics at the University of Michigan, according to a press release.

    He was an academic affiliate to CRA prior to joining Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission, where he served for more than two years as chief economist. Among his more high-profile cases at DG Competition was the merger between H3G and Orange Austria, as well as the UPS/TNT merger case.
