Salomé Cisnal de Ugarte will be joining the Brussels office of Hogan Lovells in August as a partner in the firm’s global antitrust practice.
A member of the Brussels and Madrid bars, Salomé’s practice includes all aspects of EU competition law, including complex merger transactions, licensing and distribution agreements, antitrust investigations and compliance, and State aid. She has defended clients’ interests before the European Commission and national competition authorities, as well as in the European Courts in Luxembourg. She has worked across a broad range of sectors, but has a particular focus and expertise in consumer goods and financial services.
Suyong Kim, global head of antitrust, competition and economic regulation, said, “We are delighted to welcome Salomé to our antitrust team in Brussels. She is a dynamic, internationally-minded, multilingual antitrust lawyer whose practice and experience will complement the existing specializations of our highly-regarded Brussels team. Her addition will enable us to continue growing our competition law practice in Brussels and globally.”
