Tallied Technologies’ credit card issuance and processing platform has powered FinWise Bank’s co-branded credit card programs, according to the release.

By acquiring the platform, FinWise now owns an end-to-end card technology stack that encompasses everything from application to issuing, processing and servicing, per the release.

Tallied’s engineering and operations team has joined FinWise, according to the release.

The transaction enables FinWise to retain the fees, interchange and interest economics on programs running on the Tallied platform; own technology that is already integrated into FinWise Bank’s systems; and accelerate its product roadmap, per the release.

FinWise worked closely with the Tallied platform over the last 12 months and decided to buy the platform when it became available, FinWise Bancorp CEO Jim Noone said in the release.

“We structured this transaction with the capital discipline our shareholders expect: a modest and clearly bounded near-term investment in exchange for a proprietary technology asset we believe will compound in value across our FinTech lending, payments and card businesses,” Noone said.

Tallied Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder Mike Gionfriddo said in a Monday post on LinkedIn: “So incredibly grateful for the FinWise team and excited to be joining the team! Here’s to the next chapter!”

FinWise announced in an April 8 press release that Noone had become the CEO of FinWise Bancorp on April 6. Noone’s appointment was part of a multi-year succession plan in which he became president of FinWise Bank in 2023, president of the company in 2024, and CEO of the bank in 2025, the company said in the release.

Noone said in the release: “We have a strong team, a clear strategy, and a disciplined operating model, and I look forward to continuing to execute our priorities while building long-term value for our stakeholders.”

On April 14, FinWise announced it formed a strategic program agreement with Vera, an early-stage company focused on building credit products, to launch an unsecured consumer credit card program designed for prime and near-prime U.S. consumers.
