Payment solutions company Payline Data is the latest to launch an API for other businesses looking to process payments.

The company announced this week that it is rolling out Payline I/O, a payment facilitation API for developers to integrate Payline solutions into their own tools. Payline I/O is offering a developer sandbox for developers to test out the solutions they create before they deploy them for real-world use.

“This solution marks the next step for our company and the future of payments,” said Payline CEO and cofounder Jeff Shea in a statement. “Unlike other integrated payment solutions, Payline I/O allows control over everything from onboarding to funding, which in turn improves user acquisition, retention and satisfaction.”

Payline’s API enables developers to integrate Payline solutions including merchant onboarding and funding. The platform supports Level 1 PCI compliance and immediate payment processing capabilities, the company said, and provides a drop-in user interface to reduce coding time for developers.

According to the company’s Head of Product, Justin Louie, Payline I/O enables software platforms into which Payline I/O integrates with dynamic funding, a way for platforms to control the disbursement of funds. Funds can be settled the next day or after a transaction occurs.

“As the payment-facilitator market continues to expand, Payline is positioned to provide exceptional merchant services to payment facilitators with minimal risk and an ease to market option,” Shea continued in his statement. “Payline I/O is the optimal solution for any business that wants to grow top-line revenue and improve profits through payment processing fees. We are excited to introduce this product and expand our distribution channels.”
