Anyone else feel like they could use an aspirin? Fortunately, we live in the age of smartphone apps that will find you that remedy at discounted prices. Big names in Big Pharmacy mingle with virtual upstarts in PYMNTS latest Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps.

While we observed little movement this time, there are always notable exceptions.

The Top 5

All is calm as we start down from the top of the new Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps.

In first place once again is RetailMeNot’s RxSaver app at No. 1, with the SingleCare pharmacy app holding its ground at No. 2.

Bit of an upset as the OptumRX app takes No. 3, placing titanic CVS/Caremark down one spot at No. 4. Grocery powerhouse Publix Pharmacy app stays put at No. 5, completing the Top 5.

The Top 10

Coming in at No. 6 this month is the RxLocal consumer pharmacy management app, rising two spots from the previous Ranking and pushing another grocery giant’s prescription app, KrogerRxSC, down one spot to No. 7. At No. 8 is Express Scripts dropping one spot, marking the final position shift for this Provider Ranking of Prescription Apps. Unchanged at No. 9 is the Blink Health app, with Clever Rx holding its ground at No. 10 to finish this Ranking.
