Executive Bio: Mr. Cohen is currently the President of Moneris Solutions’ U.S. business. In this capacity, Mr. Cohen leads the development and execution of the company’s strategic initiatives and operations in the United States. Specifically, he focuses on business development strategies, marketing and distribution channel enhancement, and the technology, product, and service components that support these initiatives both in the US and at Moneris’ corporate headquarters in Toronto.

Prior to joining Moneris, Mr. Cohen served as Vice President for Third Party Services at Global Payments Inc., where he managed the ISOs, financial institutions, VARs, and other resellers of Global’s services. In addition, he has held leadership positions as Vice-President for Vital Merchant Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vital Processing Services, and as Vice-President of Business Development for BankServ Check Services, a San Francisco-based cheque conversion end-to-end processor that develops electronic cheque technology.

Mr. Cohen founded and developed techTouch Cash (tTC), a national independent sales company and merchant acquirer offering credit and debit card, cheque, and other payment processing services. Under Mr. Cohen’s leadership, tTC recruited and managed independent agents through its 12 regional offices and grew to more than 4,000 merchants and 100 sales agents.

Mr. Cohen has been a speaker for the Electronic Transaction Association, Treasury Management Association, Green Sheet Seminars, and numerous regional payment organizations. He has a monthly column in Transaction World magazine entitled Common Ground and is a member of the Electronic Transaction Association serving on numerous committees. Mr. Cohen is also a member of the American Marketing Association and a former member of the National Automated Clearing House Association.
