Walmart Sued By Advocates for Disabled Over Hard-to-Reach Terminals

The Center for Independent Living filed a lawsuit against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in a U.S. District Court in California last week, charging that the retail giant’s payment terminals are impossible to reach for disabled consumers.

“They are the biggest retailer in the world … They should be able to do it right,” said Arlene Mayerson, directing attorney at the Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund, in comments to Chain Store Age.
