eBay Invests In Quick Delivery, Consumer Guides

eBay has made investments this week that aim to enhance consumer experiences on its website, according to reports from TechCrunch.

The California-based online marketplace announced on October 22 that it acquired Shutl, a U.K.-based same-day delivery company. Shutl’s business model is based on using a network of local couriers to bring products to buyers within hours of ordering online.

The company also announced the creation of “Trendsetters,” a new social commerce tool that helps show consumers some of the hottest buying trends by allowing them to follow eBay’s team of curators.
