Handpoint, a mobile payments company, announced the launch of its new chip & PIN mPOS system that will be available for small and medium enterprise merchants in the UK, the company reported in a press release. All retailers, including traders, merchants, software providers, developers and more, are able to use Handpoint's new mPOS and allow them to accept chip & PIN card payments using a mobile device. Handpoint's MPOS systems aims to address complicated security and IT standards for larger merchants.
"Mobile Point-Of-Sale is not just for micro merchants. There has been tremendous adoption of MPOS by micro-merchants, but security compliance and IT integration have created cost and complexity barriers for larger merchants. Our system has been designed from the ground up to overcome these challenges," said David Gudjonsson, CEO of Handpoint.
