RealtyTrac: 40% Of Property Sales Cash-Only

More than 40 percent of all residential property sales in July 2013 were conducted using only cash, a new report from RealtyTrac has revealed, according to an August 29 MarketWatch report.

    This figure was up from the 35 percent observed in June, and the 31 percent observed in 2012. Still, additional reports suggest this figure could be much higher. MarketWatch cited a recent Goldman Sachs report that estimated that 57 percent of all homes are now purchased with cash.
