Report: Germany Gets First PayPal Integration For Apple Online Store

Apple has added PayPal as an online payment alternative for consumers using the German Online Apple store, reports Tuaw. PayPal payment options were previously allowed on iTunes and Mac App Stores, but Germany is the first market in which consumers can pay with PayPal on Apple’s online store.

German customers who opt to pay for an order using PayPal services will automatically be redirected to the PayPal website. From there they will be prompted to enter a username and password for their registered account. Non-PayPal account users can still select this payment so long as they create a new account or click to pay as a guest.

Tuaw speculates that the service is likely being tested as a pilot, and if successful could be introduced into other markets around the world.
