Snapdeal Set For Online Gateway Launch

Sweden-based online payments provider Klarna has announced that it has acquired its Germany-based rival Sofort as part of a $150 million deal, Finextra reported on December 18.

Klarna will now reach 14 European markets, and comprise 10 percent of the $100 billion eCommerce market in the region.

“Together we have an incredible opportunity to provide the most trusted payment solution to our merchants and make it simpler and safer for consumers to shop online,” Sebastian Siemiatkowski, Klarna’s CEO, said, according to the news source.
