China-based Internet services portal Tencent has updated its mobile messaging apps Weixin and WeChat to include payments services, a sticker store and a game center, The Next Web reported on August 5.
The media outlet said the update gives users the ability to link the service to their online banking account. Merchants such as McDonald’s have already begun integrating with the service.
