Square Talks IPO With Big Banks

San Francisco-based mobile commerce giant Square is reportedly weighing an initial public offering (IPO), The Wall Street Journal reported on November 6.

The media outlet indicates that Square has met with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to discuss a 2014 IPO. To date, no bank has been hired.

The company also indicates it plans to reach profitability by 2015. Square’s annual sales currently top $1 billion.
