SAP Concur Eyes India Expansion With Thomas Cook

Corporate travel and expense management solution provider SAP Concur announced an expansion in India thanks to the renewal of its existing partnership with Thomas Cook.

In a press release Wednesday (Sept. 4), SAP Concur said its Thomas Cook India collaboration will connect joint business clients to integrated travel and expense (T&E) and invoice management solutions, pointing to Indian firms’ continued reliance on manual processes to manage expenses.

“SAP Concur’s value proposition is simplicity, integrated travel and expense management, and we look at partnerships that help us translate these into customer experiences and brand loyalty,” said SAP Concur India Managing Director Mankiran Chowhan in a statement. “Last year, our collaboration saw increased adoption by corporates owing to the integrated offering. Together with Thomas Cook India, we aim to transform the way organizations manage their business travel, expense and invoice in a highly visible marketplace.”

In another statement, Thomas Cook India’s President and Group Head of Global Business Travel Indiver Rastogi said the partnership renewal will drive automation and integration for joint clients.

“Our delivery of employee experiences helps eliminate tedious tasks, reduce costs and hence, enable [Indian corporates] to work smarter,” he said.

Earlier this year, SAP Concur announced another partnership with AvidXchange, which sees SAP Concur’s invoice processing platform Concur Invoice integrating AvidPay. The partnership enables Concur Invoice corporate customers to process electronic payments using the AvidPay Network for a more seamless invoice-to-pay and accounts-payable process.

In a statement at the time, SAP Concur Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global SMB Ben Brewer said the integration “allows customers to manage the full invoice and payments process.”

In addition to the integration, SAP Concur is also connecting its business customers to the AvidXchange Supplier Services offering, allowing businesses to access solutions that support the integration of their supplier base toward electronic payments acceptance.
