International express shipping service DHL and eCommerce platform BigCommerce have partnered to help owners of online businesses in the United States sell their products worldwide.

With the new partnership, BigCommerce merchants can receive discounted rates from DHL as well as special access to shipping and logistics professionals who can “take the mystery out of shipping internationally,” DHL said Tuesday (Oct. 4) in a press release.

“As the needs of small startups, mid-market businesses and large enterprises continue to evolve and heighten, we will be able to further support B2B and B2C BigCommerce merchants by offering quick, reliable and expedited shipments that will help maximize their cross-border potential,” DHL Express CEO Greg Hewitt said in the release.

Merchants that join the program will also be able to provide their customers with proactive notifications and flexible delivery options via DHL’s On Demand Delivery tool, according to the press release.

DHL ships to and from more than 220 countries and territories and has improved its flight capabilities and infrastructure over the last several years to meet the demands of eCommerce, the release stated.

“Our partnership with DHL further illustrates our commitment to providing merchants access to the highest-caliber technologies and service providers available in the industry,” BigCommerce Chief Commercial Officer Russell Klein said in the release. “DHL shares our desire to help merchants sell more and grow faster to maximize success, and we look forward to working together to mutually support customers.”
