1-800-Flowers.com Rolls Out Corporate Gift Site In Time For Holidays

As companies begin to look toward the holidays, 1-800-Flowers.com has rolled out new corporate gift website. The site serves up one place to “seamlessly access the extensive offerings from across the 1-800-FLOWERS.COM Inc. family of brands,” the company said in a Wednesday (Oct. 28) news release. The brands include Harry & David, Cheryl's Cookies, The Popcorn Factory and Wolferman's Bakery.

The new site is “designed to help small, medium, and large organizations engage with employees, clients, and other individuals important to their business,” the company said.

The gift site will help companies that have many employees working from home “create a culture of recognition, appreciation, and engagement from afar — gestures that deepen relationships with employees, clients, and others," said Eric Gehnrich, 1-800-Flowers.com senior vice president, business gifts services. He added that the site “will make it easier for business customers to build meaningful professional relationships and to connect for important milestone events and everyday occasions, such as expressing sympathy or celebrating the birth of a new baby.”

The new website will offer a “white glove service,” meaning companies can choose to work with a dedicated account manager. “These expert gifting professionals can advise on the most appropriate gift options to fit the needs of the business customer's occasion, recipient, and budget,” according to the release.

The site will be easy to use and allow for setting up an account quickly, no minimum purchase required, the company said, adding it will offer such features as a gift-list history, “easy re-order functions” and an account dashboard to track activity.

In addition to the corporate gift website, 1-800-Flowers.com is gearing up for the holidays and is hiring more than 10,000 seasonal workers. The company said the types of jobs vary according to its brands. The company said it is hiring for part-time and full-time positions in divisions like customer service and gift assembly. Most of the jobs are offered across Oregon, Ohio and Illinois, with select telecommuting positions available.
