Conferma Pay Receives Oracle Validated Integration Designation For Link With Hotels

Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) member Conferma Pay has attained an Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle Hospitality Hotel Expertise for its link between Conferma Pay Connect and Oracle Hospitality OPERA, according to an announcement emailed to PYMNTS.

Expertise is a central part of the OPN program and lets Oracle partners showcase what they are able to do in a given area. Partners such as Conferma Pay have to meet many requirements to attain the Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle Hospitality Hotel Expertise designation. As part of those requirements, they have to show that the connection works as it is described.

“Achieving Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle Hospitality Hotel Expertise gives our customers the confidence that the integration of Conferma Pay Connect is functionally sound and performs as tested,” said David Hicks, vice president, Worldwide ISV Cloud Business Development, Oracle.

The link between Conferma Pay and Oracle Hospitality OPERA lets Connect, Conferma Pay’s safe communication platform, take the place of emails and faxes with an application programming interface (API) call straight into the property management system (PMS) of a lodging facility, according to the announcement.

The flow simplifies virtual card delivery, putting payment information and billing instruction straight into the booking system of a property. Its automated nature eliminates long processing times for front office workers and removes doubt of incorrectly typing in data.

“With Conferma Pay Connect, payment is securely delivered to a hotel’s existing computer system, excluding the need for email and outdated fax technology. We are pleased to integrate with Oracle Hospitality OPERA, so that they can better meet their customers’ needs,” said Conferma Pay CEO Simon Barker.

Virtual cards have been connected with corporate travel and expense (T&E) for a long time because their benefits fit almost hand-in-glove with the significant paint points that travel managers encounter when it comes to security, spend management and manual reconciliation.

“And then, of course, COVID-19 comes along and these pain points start to extend to the wider corporation,” Greg Thompson, director of banking at Conferma Pay, told PYMNTS in a recent interview.
