PayPal Doing More to Enable Mobile Commerce In Singapore

Rahul Shinghal, director of PayPal Mobile for the Asia Pacific region, says merchants aren’t delivering the solutions consumers are demanding in markets like Singapore.

Shinghal says mobile commerce spending has increased eightfold in Singapore, to $328 million, and that 20 percent of traffic to e-commerce cites arrives via mobile, in an interview with Asia One Business.

To address the disconnect, PayPal is increasing efforts to distribute its Mobile Commerce in a Box and PayPal Mobile Payments Standard solutions across the market.
