EU: France’s roaming competition to spark copycats

    Orange’s new plans take a hit to rivals Free and Bouygues Telecom after they announced their own roaming plans in recent weeks. Reports say the headed competition is a result of increased pressure on lower roaming fees by EU authorities.

    The European Commission is looking to eliminate roaming premiums by 2016, say reports. With this goal, France’s new roaming deals are likely to be replicated throughout the EU.
