Australia-based paper manufacturer PaperlinX has lodged a complaint, along with its German subsidiary, against German rival Sappi for anticompetitive behavior, according to the company.
Details of the exact infringements PaperlinX is accusing the company of remain scarce, but reports say Sappi is hampering PaperlinX’s ability to compete in the German market and has violated national and EU competition law. The alleged violations are also harming printers and consumers in the market, PaperlinX said.
The dispute could not be resolved through discussions between the two companies, the Australian firm said, so the matter will now be brought to the attention of Germany’s Federal Cartel Office.
