Spain: CNC makes a case against 11 travel agencies

According to a press release, the CNC, Spain’s antitrust authority, has officially opened proceedings against 11 independent travel agency management groups for alleged anticompetitive practices. The authority first began a probe of the agencies last September. According to the announcement, the authority apparently obtained documents during the investigation that has led to the formal proceedings against the companies that has lead the authority to believe the companies engaged in price-fixing and the restriction of retail distribution of tour packages.
