Eduardo Frade

Eduardo Frade served as General-Superintendent (2014-2017) of the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense – CADE, heading the Brazilian antitrust agency’s merger reviews, its cartel and unilateral conduct investigations, as well as the agency’s leniency program. Prior to then, he served as Deputy-Superintendent (2012-2014), advisor for Commissioners at CADE’s Tribunal (2007-2011) and participated in a secondment at the Canadian Competition Bureau (2008). He holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Brasilia and a post-graduate degree in Competition Policy from the Getulio Vargas Foundation. Eduardo is a Guest Professor at the FGV Law Program and was a visiting scholar at the Global Antitrust Institute of the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University (2017).
