Dr. Jasper Sluijs is associate professor in competition law and regulation at the Utrecht University School of Law. His research focuses on state-owned enterprises and the role of state ownership in sustainability challenges. How can state ownership contribute to emission reduction and energy transition, without distorting markets or negatively affecting the Rule of Law? He co-directs the research cluster Public Interest Ecosystems, and participates in the IOS platform Markets and Corporations in Open Societies. His research is empirically and interdisciplinary oriented, and he likes to collaborate with economists and governance scholars.
