Jose Gonzalez-Magaz

Mr. Gonzalez-Magaz's practice covers several fields of antitrust litigation, including price-fixing claims, horizontal restraint of competition, as well as Walker Process and & sham litigation& related to patent infringement claims. He has prepared pre-merger submissions to US, European and Latin American competition authorities; and has provided legal advice on the interaction of US antitrust statutes and their Latin American counterparts. Mr. Gonzalez-Magaz has also provided guidance and training, and prepared compliance manuals, regarding search warrants, and & dawn raids. Mr. Gonzalez-Magaz has represented governments and private companies in energy matters, especially in the natural gas field. For governments, including the governments of the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Mr. Gonzalez-Magaz has assisted in the development and establishment of regulatory policy. He also has broad transactional experience negotiating engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts and power purchase agreements (PPAs). Mr. Gonzalez-Magaz is experienced in several areas of US and international litigation, including matters involving construction disputes and toxic tort claims. He has extensive litigation experience involving underground storage tanks, and has appeared in courts across the country for litigation involving asbestos, welding fumes, and silica claims. Mr. Gonzalez-Magaz also has significant experience designing complex e-discovery processes.
