Oscar Borgogno

Oscar Borgogno is a researcher at the DG for Economics, Statistics and Research of the Bank of Italy, Digital Integration Sector. Oscar’s research examines how competition policy and data governance can generate value and advance the public good, focusing on how we can build more resilient and competitive financial systems, improve the governance of digital platforms, and tackle market failures in digital markets. Before joining the Bank, Oscar worked towards a PhD at the University of Turin and an MSc in Law and Finance at the University of Oxford, and received both a degree in Law from Turin University and a degree in Government studies at the Ferdinando Rossi School of Advanced Studies at the same University. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society, University of Tilburg, The Netherlands. He worked as a business lawyer for three years before starting his journey in academia.
