Thibaud Verge
Thibaud Verge was appointed Chief Economist at the Autorit de la Concurrence on February 1st, 2010, replacing Philippe Chon. He was previously a researcher at CREST (Laboratoire d'Economie Industrielle) since September 2005 and was also teaching at ENSAE, Ecole Polytechnique, and the University of Lausanne. After obtaining his Ph.D., he joined in September 2000 the University of Bristol as a lecturer in economics before moving to the University of Southampton in September 2002. His academic work focuses on industrial organization and competition policy (with a particular focus on vertical restraints). Education: PH.D, University of Toulouse.
