Verina F. Que is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Marketing at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University. Her research focuses on understanding consumer privacy decisions and platform data strategies. In her dissertation chapters, she developed an economic framework with her coauthor to help understand the benefit-cost tradeoffs of dataflows and explore future directions for digital privacy. Building on this foundation, her current work explores broader empirical contexts of externalities related to dataflows and consumer privacy choices. She adopts a questions-first approach, drawing from a versatile methodological suite—including causal inference, field experiments, structural modeling, and LLMs—to apply the most appropriate tool for each specific research objective.
