Applications for Altech Netstar appeal dismissed by Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of Appeal of South Africa has dismissed with costs applications against Altech Netstar. The ruling affirms the Competition Appeal Court’s February 2011 decision. That decision had set aside the Competition Tribunal’s finding in April 2010 that Altech Netstar had contravened the Competition Act.

    The applications for appeal had been brought before the Supreme Court by the Competition Commission and Tracetec. Tracetec had brought the original complaint against Altech Netstar in 2005.
