Armenia: Investigation yields fines for telco Armentel

Armenian telco operator Armentel has been fined nearly $50,000 following a complaint from rival Orange.

    Reports say Armenia’s competition authority issued the fine to the company, operating under the Beeline Armenia brand, for unfair competition, though reports did not elaborate on the regulator’s findings.

    Orange lodged a complaint over Armentel’s use of “Simplier Than Simply,” as Orange previously registered the Simple brand, say reports.
