Anheuser-Busch InBev (InBev) venderá su unidad australiana, Carlton & United Breweries, al gigante cervecero japonés Asahi en un acuerdo valuado en US$11,300 millones. El acuerdo se anunció el viernes 19 de julio, el día en que AB InBev estaba originalmente programado para cotizar sus negocios en Asia en la Bolsa de Valores de Hong Kong mediante una OPI que podría haber recaudado hasta US$ 9,800 millones. El lanzamiento fue cancelado debido a las condiciones del mercado, según la compañía.
