Australia: Competitors squeezed out Kogan Mobile, says telco tycoon

The onetime richest person in Australia and founder of Kogan Mobile, Ruslan Kogan, exited the country’s mobile telecommunications market, blaming rival companies from squeezing out Kogan Mobile from the sector. The company released a statement announcing its departure from the market, offering current service subscribers information on how to easily switch to another mobile provider. In explaining his reasoning, Kogan attributed the rush of “attention” to the new mobile competitor, influencing major rivals to collectively overrun Kogan Mobile. In his statement, Kogan described the experience as unfortunate and frustrating.
