ACCC chair Rod Sims says Telstra’s $11.2 billion deal with NBN should clear its final regulatory hurdle by the end of May, ending more than a year of talks and approvals.
The revised migration plan is a key document that sets out the terms for shifting customers off Telstra’s existing infrastructure and onto the national broadband network.
Getting approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is vital for the project ramping up to get more paying customers onto the Coalition’s version of the NBN.
“We’re certainly aiming to get it done by the end of the month but we’ll almost certainly get it done by the end of June,” Mr Sims said.
