Brazilian antitrust authority CADE has begun reviewing the acquisition of a PV solar power complex in Pernambuco state by Equinor and Scatec Solar.
The operation involves the sale of Kroma Comercializadora de Energia and Z2 Energias Renováveis’ interests in special purpose entities Flores Energia, São Pedro and Paulo I, São Pedro and Paulo V Energia, and São Pedro e Paulo VI Energia, which are in charge of the complex that will be built in Flores municipality.
With an installed capacity of 99.65MWp, the project is scheduled to come online in January 2022.
Some 6.7MWa (average megawatts) were contracted for 20 years at a regulated energy tender in April 2018, while another 12.7MWa were contracted for 10 years through a call held by Engie Brasil Comercializadora de Energia.
