Brazil: CADE allows toy merger

A press release offered to CPI directly from CADE, Brazil’s antitrust regulator, has announced the competition authority will allow Ri-Happy to acquire PBKids, citing no concerns for competition in the market. CADE decided that there are enough multi-product retailers selling children’s toys to maintain competition to PBKids, also noting that recent years has shown growth in the toy sector and has thus lead to new competitors in the field.
