Brumby’s apologizes for blaming price hikes on carbon tax

Brumby’s, an Australian bakery chain, has issued an apology to the Australian Securities Exchange for encouraging price gouging and blaming the practice on the carbon tax. Deane Priest, Brumby’s managing director, had written in an internal company publication that franchisees should raise prices and “[l]et the carbon tax take the blame.”
