Canada: Former Central Nova MP joins law firm Baker & McKenzie as a partner

Peter MacKay, is set to join the global law firm of Baker & McKenzie as a partner in Toronto. Moreover, he is also expected to advise on a series of matters, including the government and regulatory enforcement and compliance matters.

    According to Huff Post Politics, the former Central Nova MP will be joining the Toronto office of global law firm Baker & McKenzie as a partner as per announcement of the law firm on Monday. MacKay, which is a former Crown prosecutor, will give advice to firms doing global business and international companies doing business in Canada.

    The former MP will also be giving out his talents and experience in various areas as a member of Baker & McKenzie’s growing government enforcement and compliance practice. The company also promises that he will also advise on corporate compliance, white collar crime, investigations and business crimes, antitrust, international arbitration, securities enforcement and litigation, as reported by Cape Breton Post.
