Canada: Former Commissioner Aitken re-joins Bennett Jones LLP

Canada’s former Competition Bureau Commissioner Melanie Aitken has reportedly re-joined Bennett Jones LLP in its Washington branch. Aitken stepped down from her post as Commissioner last September. She will run Bennett Jones’ Washington office as well as act as co-head of the firm’s antitrust unit. Aitken left Bennett in 2005 to become Commissioner. The law firm announced Aitken’s plans in a formal statement.
