CCI ordered by COMPAT to determine terms and conditions for DLF’s revised buyer agreements

 |  April 1, 2012

The Competition Appellate Tribunal has ordered the Competition Commission of India to determine the terms and conditions by which DLF needs to modify buyer agreements. The CCI is to consider input from buyer associations and DLF.

In August 2011, the CCI had ordered DLF to revise their Belaire and Park Place agreements with terms that were more favorable for buyers. The order, along with a R630 crore fine, had been imposed on DLF as a result of a finding that the developer had imposed unfair conditions in violation of Section 4(2) of the Competition Act, 2002.
